Conference Hotel

The Access Conference is very pleased to announce that the Delta Hotels by Marriott will be our conference venue this year in Montréal.

This is in fact the same hotel where we hosted Access back in 2012! We are very happy to partner with Delta again for this year’s conference.

We welcome conference attendees to book at the Delta with a special conference rate of $235/night. This guarantees that you will be close to the action all conference long!

Booking with the conference hotel is a great way to support the conference planning team, as it helps us to reach our minimum booking requirements. In addition, we specifically chose the Delta for its central location, comfortable rooms and amenities (including a great onsite restaurant!), and its eco-consciousness.

Use this link to book your hotel room at the special conference rate (note that Delta recommends using Chrome to open the link): https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1720635825257&key=GRP&app=resvlink

The special rate will apply to rooms booked from Thursday, October 17, 2024 through to Friday, October 25, 2024.

The last day to book rooms using the discounted rate will be Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Travel Around Montréal

The STM is Montréal’s transit system, including metro and bus service. Fare, map, and schedule information can all be found on their website: https://www.stm.info/en

If you are arriving from the airport, the 747 bus line will bring you from the airport to downtown Montréal for a flat fee of $11. For more information, please see: https://www.stm.info/en/info/networks/bus-network-and-schedules-enlightened/747-yul-montreal-trudeau-airport-downtown

Montréal is also a super walkable and bikeable city! We are proud to have a great network of bike lanes for getting around. If you are feeling adventurous, consider renting one of the Bixi bikes from stations located around the city: https://bixi.com/en/

Accessibility of Conference Spaces

The Access Conference 2024 Steering Committee is committed to providing a conference experience that is inclusive and welcoming for all participants.

The conference venues (including the Delta Hotel, the evening reception venue, and Concordia, which will serve as our Hackfest venue) are all physically accessible for those with limited mobility. Ramps and elevators are available to ensure that everyone can move around easily within these spaces.

Whenever possible, we will be providing attendees with access to gender-neutral washrooms.

Our food menus offer options for those with dietary restrictions, such as for those who are vegan or gluten-free.

Speakers throughout the conference will be using microphones, as well as audience members who are asking questions during Q&A sessions.

If you have any questions about accessibility, please do not hesitate to reach out to accesslibcon@gmail.com.
